Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ImaginePDF (the “Service”). ImaginePDF is operated by Erantra Private Limited (“Erantra”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated under the laws of India and registered in the State of Karnataka. By creating an account, issuing an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ImaginePDF is a platform for designing reusable documents and generating PDFs from them — through a visual canvas editor, a REST API, or the ImaginePDF plugin for Claude Code. You can compose documents from text, tables, images, QR codes, and barcodes, save them as reusable designs, optionally publish them as templates, and generate PDFs either one at a time or in batch from an uploaded dataset. The Service is provided on an as-is basis and may evolve over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enter into these Terms. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials and API keys confidential, and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or with your API keys.
3. Workspaces and team members
Access to the Service is organised around workspaces. If you invite other people to a workspace, you are responsible for their access and for the actions they take within it, and those actions are attributed to your workspace. You are responsible for managing roles, permissions, and the removal of members who should no longer have access.
4. Your Content
You retain all ownership of the designs, templates, uploaded assets (images, fonts), datasets, and generated PDFs you produce on the Service (“Your Content”). By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to provide and operate the Service for you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you hold the rights to any logos, fonts, images, or data you upload or include in a generated document.
5. Document Data and datasets
When you upload datasets or supply field values for generation that contain personal data relating to other people (for example, names on certificates, invoices, or payslips), you are the controller of that data — the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use it and for providing any required notices to the individuals concerned. Erantra processes that data only as a processor (“Data Processor”) on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Generate documents that are illegal, fraudulent, or designed to deceive (forged invoices, fake certificates, counterfeit identity documents, and the like)
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person
- Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service or its users
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service beyond reasonable use, or circumvent usage limits or security controls
- Resell or redistribute the Service as a standalone product without a written agreement with us
- Send spam or use generated documents for unsolicited bulk communications
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. In serious cases (fraud, illegal content, or abuse) we may do so without prior notice.
7. Templates and published content
If you choose to publish a design as a public template (including templates surfaced through our public document-creation pages), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and serve that template and the resulting documents to others through the Service. You confirm that you hold all rights necessary to publish it and that it complies with the acceptable-use section above.
8. API, API keys, and the Claude plugin
API keys are issued per workspace and grant programmatic access at the workspace owner’s permission level. You are responsible for every API call made with your key. Treat API keys like passwords — do not commit them to public repositories or share them outside your team. The ImaginePDF plugin for Claude Code authenticates with an API key; your use of Claude Code itself is also governed by Anthropic’s terms, and any content you process through Claude on your own machine is subject to those terms.
9. Plans, billing, and credits
ImaginePDF offers a free tier and may offer paid plans with higher usage limits or additional features. Pricing for paid plans is shown at the point of purchase. Fees are billed in advance through our third-party payment processor, are non-refundable except where required by law, and may change with reasonable notice. Where the Service uses a credit model, credits are usage-based, have no cash value, and are not transferable. Usage limits (number of generations, storage, API rate) apply to all plans, and we may throttle or block requests that exceed your plan limits.
10. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law, or where a charge results from a billing error on our side, all purchases are final and non-refundable.
11. Taxes
Stated prices may be exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, levies, or duties associated with your use of the Service, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) where it applies. Our payment processor may calculate and collect such taxes based on the information you provide.
12. Third-party services and integrations
The Service connects to third-party providers (for example, Google sign-in and the infrastructure that powers the Service). Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes, or outages.
13. Intellectual property
Erantra and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, and underlying technology. These Terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service except as expressly permitted. All rights not granted to you are reserved.
14. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free right to use it to improve the Service, without any obligation to you.
15. Aggregated and de-identified data
We may generate and use aggregated or de-identified data — data that does not identify you, your workspace, or any individual — to operate, analyse, and improve the Service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
16. Changes to the Service
We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available.
17. Availability and support
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure outages, or other events outside our reasonable control may cause downtime. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis by email and through our documentation.
18. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate the Service (or your access to it) for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, non-payment, or where continued provision is not commercially reasonable. On termination, you may export Your Content for 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.
19. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THE ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY OF ANY GENERATED DOCUMENT.
20. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 10,000. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
21. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Erantra and its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, the Document Data you process, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via a dashboard notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
